Throughout scripture you find men and women of God who paid a price for standing with what they felt was right. Sometimes even with their lives. Many of the disciples gave their lives for what they believed to be true.
This leads me to share this thought with you and ask a question---
How firm are your convictions?
What are your convictions based on? Are they current conditions or situations in your life? When circumstances change will your convictions also change?
That's one way you know if what you have are convictions or situational ethics.
A Disciples of Jesus there will come a day where you will have to take a stand and the price may be high. Be ready for that, if you are not you may be easily swayed to compromise.
The godly convictions of biblical heroes withstood the changing winds and thoughts of others.
You read the story in Daniel of the 3 Hebrew boys who stood on their convictions and turned the heart of the king and recognized the Lord as the one true God. (Dan. 3:13-30). Take a few minutes and read it for yourself. It will give you courage and faith to stand when all others are saying change your mind.
In that same book look at Daniel 6:8-28, and also read Gen. 39:1-9 and see Joseph take a stand and God not only was glorified but Joseph elevated to 2nd in Egypt Only to Pharaoh.
So, here is my challenge to you---Hold on your convictions that are based on the WORD OF GOD and He will stand with you.

See you all tomorrow!!!
