Great Saturday Morning church family.

Today is a special day for Paul Schramm and Anna Valeria. It is their wedding day. A word of prayer for them would be great as they start their journey together. Congrats to you both. We love you.

Our thought for today is simple-- Jesus calls the church (you and me) his bride.

In the natural scene, a bride is that one that is close to her husband and loves him dearly.

Her desire is to be with him as often as possible and to please him as much as she possibly could. Her role is to respond properly to him, and allow his name to be honored and respected by others. There is a reason for that. A good husband loves and does all he can to  provide, protect, and be a priest to his bride. Not only because the Bible demands it but that is the response the love gives to another.

Look at all that Jesus did for his bride (you and me). He loves us and the cross proves that, he comforts us, in difficult times, He rejoices, when we rejoice. He gave us an example to follow. He sent his Holy Spirit to dwell within us, and He has not gone to heaven to prepare for us a place that where he is we do we be forever. Plus so  much more---those are all facts. One that I must not forget---He forgave us of all our sins. He did all that for HIS BRIDE.

So, here is my point in today's thought---How have you (we) responded to all he has done for us?

Have we murmured, and complained, because things are not as we want? Has our lifestyle been a praise to Him before others. Has our speech been sweet to the sound of those who know we are married to Jesus? That list of questions can be endless.

In the natural world, a groom and bride become one, how united are we with our Savior/ bridegroom in letting hIm know of our deep affection and appreciation to Him?

May each of us today recommit ourselves to Him who lived and died and is returning for us - HIS BRIDE---JESUS!!! (Lover of our soul)

Blessing to you.

Much love,

Pastor G
