Good morning to the family,
When I was in Africa a few months back, I kept hearing a phrase that farmers used which was "Feed the Chickens". When I humbly asked why, the answer was--If you want eggs you must feed the chicken. Now, that makes sense.
So, as a believer if we want to produce more faith, we must feed our faith.
Now, we know that faith comes by hearing the word of God. We also know that without faith it is impossible to please God. So, here is the question---how much in Faith do we desire to grow so we can produce the outcome of the promises of God? That's a fair question. If you must feed a chicken to get more eggs, does it not make sense to feed your spirit man to get greater faith?
There are many ways to feed your faith-- A share a few with you:
1st-Eat the Word of God.
I know we have heard this many times. This is foundational for you to grow. If you take this out of your spiritual diet, you will die. How much of the Word have you digested this week?
2nd-How much of the Word have you applied?
Reading the Word is one thing, but appling it is another. Be a doer of the word and not just a hearer. Make the word real to you and keep it real. Obedience to the word is a must.
3rd-Let Praise be your environment
Whether it is through songs on the radio or you regularly thanking God for His goodness, let it happen and happen often. Praise will deliver you out of worry, and pain and despair.
So, I will stop at this point and ask you---are you feeding the chicken? If you want more eggs you must. Are you feeding your spirit man? If you want more faith, it is a must.
Give this 3-point thought a go this week and see what God does with it.
