Good Saturday Morning to you.
If you are into football this is your time to sit and enjoy game after game. (just don't overdo it)
Football has an objective---that is to overcome opposition. That's my thought for today for you.
God is always giving us opportunities to move forward in life in many areas, not just spiritually.
God's desire for us is to reach our God-given potential and goal. But know this ---each time you take a step forward, the enemy will try to bring opposition against you.
That's what he does--come to kill, steal and destroy. When you realize that, you will not be surprised when it happens. NOW--God promises that through HIM, you can overcome any opposition the enemy brings your way. He does that because you are a threat to his kingdom. Also because you are building up the KINGDOM of GOD!!! Now, we have all been called to that.
That helps you become a better disciple of Jesus.
When you step out in faith and opposition comes against you what should be your reaction to his attack?
Let me share a few with you, so you can keep going forward and never retreat.
1- Stand your ground.
Don't get in or up. When you are doing something for the kingdom of God, you have all of God's strength to defeat the enemy IF YOU DON'T GIVE UP.
2- Keep doing what you know to do.
God gave you that passion to accomplish that task---so do it. So, what if distractions come, keep moving forward.
In football, the coach tells his running back, if you are not tackled, keep moving and you may break through the line and score a touchdown.
---by the way, here are a few things to keep doing---read your Bible, go to church, walk in love, forgive others, serve with your gift---you get the idea,
When the enemy sees you are determined to keep going forward, he'll backoff and find somebody else to bother.
3- Be careful who you are listening to.
Not every voice is a God-voice. Not every open door is a God-door.
***Stay focused on God and obey His word and you will overcome opposition and walk in victory.
