Good Saturday Morning to you all,

Well, Thanksgiving is about here. As I am sure that you will be reminded to be grateful for all we have, let's make sure that our children understand about having a spirit of gratitude.

Join the church this Wednesday night at 6:30 as we along with our Eastside church and African church come together for a night of praise, specials, the Word and Lord's Supper.

                                           _________________________________

I was reflecting this week about the world we are presently in. In a simple phrase--

                              it is a mess!!!

I am usually a positive guy, but reality must be shared. Here is what I see. Yet, I am believing in a turnabout in the world and in the church at large.

The culture we live in is characterized by spiritual darkness. Sadly, even those of us who are believers become accustomed to the dark all around us and do not even feel shocked nor ashamed by it. Could it be that we see the "sin" but do not acknowledge it as sinful, or maybe do not even see it as sin.

One of those sins is "Sexual immorality". Throughout the Bible we are warned to stay away, run from it and its dangers. Read Col. 3:5. Though most believers know it is sinful and an abomination to God, it seems not to bother many believers as it did once.

There is all kinds of sexual immorality today and as believers we must confront it so as not to destroy our lives and the lives of those coming after us.

The world we live in is immoral and filthy in mind, heart and action, and it is destroying the souls of man.

We cannot escape our dark society, so we must confront it. It begins within our own household.

If we become comfortable in the darkness around us, it will soon consume us. We cannot and must not allow it to happen. Examine your own life. Then the lives of your children under your rule.

What about those you choose to fellowship with? You are honoring God by dealing with those areas and even saving a soul from bondage and eternal damnation.

Maybe some of you reading this may be saying---that doesn't sound like Pastor G in most blogs that he writes.

Well, as I prepare for THANKSGIVING under a gracious God who has given me, my family so much--how could I be grateful to HIM and not live according to this Word.

If you are becoming comfortable with the darkness (sin) around you, ask God to shine the light of the HOLY SPIRIT on your mind and reveal any compromises or hidden sinful desires.

Also, ask for forgiveness and receive His forgiveness.

Blessings to all.

Much love

Pastor G
