Good Saturday Afternoon Church Family!
This week's Believer's Blog is something Brother Tony Tumminelli shared with me and graciously agreed that I share with all of you.
We all enter this world with an unseen expiration date. We all live with a shadow of death as a reminder of a future event that can not be avoided. We live our lives with pain and sorrow, joy and laughter, strength and frailty, peace and war, etc.
Why all this contrast? All for what. To end as a pile of dirt. I think not. That being the case, it would be meaningless.
As l look around me, I realize everything has a purpose, a function. The sun for heat and light, etc. The clouds for rain and shade, etc. The plants for food and comfort, etc. Everything here is to serve us. For what purpose? To end up as a pile of dirt? I think not. This question needed to be researched? It needed to be sought out. My search led me to the bible.
As a result, I discovered that this life comes with a manual. The bible gives instruction, guidance, and answers on how we are to live this temporary life. Many of us struggle with unnecessary setbacks as a result of living life without following the manual. Unfortunately, some misfortunes are the result of others not following the manual, and we suffer from the consequences.
Everything in life, whether it's plant, animal, or human, etc., needs instructions, a plan, or a path to follow to allow for a good end result. Plants and animals don't give instructions on how to care for them. The instructions come from a higher life form as a result of observation and knowledge. (Man) They don't possess the ability within themselves to get the care they need. Animals live by instinct, but it's limited. They encounter difficulties enabling their detriment. And so it is with man. We don't possess the ability to direct our own lives successfully. It requires a higher life form to accomplish it.
Someone who possesses the knowledge and wisdom we need. (GOD) There is an end game to this life. It is to cross the finish line at a desired place. And that desired place can not be accomplished without following the manual. (Jeremiah 10:23)
