Good Saturday morning to you all.
I trust that your Thanksgiving time with your family went fantastic.
A guy by the name of C.B. said about Thanksgiving "What if today we were grateful for everything?" What a beautiful thought. We don't really need to be reminded of this or do we?
By the way, we all know who said this, the C.B. is Charlie Brown!
Let's make this something we live by and QUIT our complaining. Complaining will keep you out of your "Promised Land".

Let me share a few thoughts I have for all of us. On Wednesday, I received notice that our precious Sis. Juanita Frazer went on to be with Jesus after 86 years. I was saddened to hear that. She, along with her husband who was on our Pastoral staff, served the church very well. They both served in churches before they came to Hope as pastor. We will miss them greatly. As I was thinking about that, it came to my mind a scripture in John 14:2-3. The Bible says, Jesus has gone before us to "prepare" a place for us. That's what this life here is really all about. It's above Heaven and spending eternity with HIM--JESUS.
WE SAY---WE WILL MISS THEM however, they probably will not miss us. I know that sounds cold, but the truth is they will be focusing on Jesus and not on earth and what they left behind. Heaven has so much more than earth has to offer us. (Can you shout hallelujah as you read this.?)
Heaven, how often do you think about heaven, where you as a disciple of Jesus will spend eternity? I think of it often, not because I am overly anxious to get there now, but know all that Jesus has prepared for us there. His presence, His angels, the saints of old, the beauty of it. That list goes on and on. The things that God has prepared for us are endless. Here is my thought for YOU--- Are you prepared to go? Well, you might say---we are all going. True, we are all going, BUT not all to heaven. Please do not kid yourself---many on that day Jesus says, we say, Lord Lord, did we not do this and that, and Jesus will say---depart from me, I never knew you. WOW!!! What a powerful statement. But it's true.
So, are you prepared? Well, I go to church.and all the rest of the Christianezee things we say.
But Jesus is the only way to that "Prepared place" that He has made for us.
Please make sure you know Him. Let me give you a couple of little ways you will know if you really know HIM.
1- Have you REPENTED of your sins and turned from them?
2- Does your life have any evidence for the likeness of Jesus?
God wants a family and He wants you to be a part of His family, that's why He went to prepare a place for us. Here is a place there for our Sis. Juanita. I trust there will be a place there for you.
