Good Saturday Morning Family
"A Proverb a day!!!"---don't forget.
So much has happened in our world since Jan. 1st already. Some good while other things could have been better. Regardless, life is moving forward and so are we. This got me to think that maybe this year could be the year that Jesus returns for the "church" or we go to meet Him. That is a reality. Leading me to share this simple but powerful truth to us today. "Are we going to let Jesus be known to others this year and if we say yes, then how should that happen?"
Jesus is the greatest truth we can know or share.
Other things in life are important--yes, but they are all temporary. Yet, knowing Jesus will last for an eternity. So, here is my thought for us all this day---how can I personally let JESUS be known to others in 2026? Fair question, with a fairly easy answer if we will do it.
In Acts 20:24, Paul says to the church (you and me) "But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus, the work of telling others the good news about the wonderful grace of God"
Let me give you 2 truths today and 2 next week to help you answer and live out this verse in Acts.
Before we start, let me give you one of the greatest words in our language that changes things--it is the word "INFLUENCE".---so, how can you and I influence the world (our world) for Christ?
#1- With our "Walk"
Can we live an authentic christian life before others? Can we do that consistently? While no one is perfect, we can be different. Our attitudes should be better than the world's, our behavior should be cleaner, our habits should be healthier, and our love should be without hypocrisy. Those are rather easy to do. Look at those 4 areas, how do you score in those areas. Do those areas influence people to Christ or not? When people meet you, do they know they have met a Christian, a disciple of Jesus? Those are not judgmental questions, but rather questions to evaluate yourself for improvement if needed.
#2- With our Talk
We can also influence others by sharing the Gospel as a form of testimony of what God has done for you and your family. You do not need to give them a 3 point sermon, but just the goodness of God over your life. Maybe, He has provided a job, or health, even an answered prayer in family's life. You see, anything that has happened in your life can be used as an influence to let others know about Jesus. (continued next week--Lord willing.)
Please keep this thought in mind--- this generation of people must be made aware of
Jesus by YOU and ME!!!!
