Good Saturday morning family.

We probably all know someone whose name is "Christopher, Chrisitian, Christiana, even Jesus".

However, it is one thing to be associated with "JESUS" by name identification but it is a totally different thing to be "CHRISTLIKE".

I love what Eph. 4:22-24 says---Take on an entirely new way of life---a God fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces His character in you." What a statement--- read again!!!

You and I will NEVER be God, but we have been called to be Godlike/Christlike.

Satan's lie to Adam and Eve is the oldest temptation ever told. "You will be like God" (Gen. 3:5)

Just a few thoughts to hold on to.

Becoming Christlike doesn't mean losing your personality or becoming mindless. God created your uniqueness, He does not want to destroy it, He wants to display it to the world.

Christlikeness is all about transforming your character and not your personality. That is one of God's purpose for your life and mine. When you forget that, you can become frustrated by your circumstances.---why is this happening to me?

1- We live in a broken world

2- Challenges cause you to grow if you let it.

Many believers misinterpret the promise of "abundant life" to mean no more problems. They expect heaven on earth, don't fall for that lie. We have victory over every difficulty if we abide in Christ. But challenges will still come knocking on our door.

Here is the truth of the matter at hand---life is not about YOU or Me,---We exist for God's purpose not ours. The sooner we accept that reality the sooner we can become more Christlike, regardless if your name is Christopher, Christine, Joe Matt., or Mary or Sue.

So today as you live, live for Christ so others can see Christlikeness in you.

Much love,

Pastor G
