Good Saturday morning to you all.
If you have children you may remember this phrase---"Just do it because I said so".
Be honest, many of you have just said--oh yea, I remember that.
Do you remember when Noah built the ark? Did Not make much sense. But he built it anyway. But why?---Because God said so!!!
Heb. 11:7 says, "It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before."
We should understand the Faith is being obedient even when you don't understand .
There are over 1,000 commands in the New Testament that belong to us for our benefit. Some make little sense to us, yet we are urged to obey.
Love those who hate you.
Forgive those who have hurt you.
That's not always easy, yet as difficult as they seem to be they are for our benefits.
Every time God calls us to do something, it is a test of your faith in God. The question is do we trust God or our gut feels? Do we trust the Word of God or the world and its logic?
Just like He did with Noah, there will be times God will ask you to "TRUST HIM" will you?
Situations like that are a test. Faith is believing when you don't see it, but it is also obeying when you don't understand it.
So, why should I obey? Because God says so!!! Will that be enough for you?
Let's learn to do what God has asked us to do without question. Yes, they mocked Noah in his day, and they will mock you in your day. Just don't forget the end results of Noah's situation.
When you answer like Noah, God is pleased and benefits are yours.
That's how faith is built and how blessings are received.
