Good Saturday morning to all.
I trust you had a great Easter/Resurrection day with your family and church family.
I was thinking about how to follow up on such a great celebration of the life and power that Jesus demonstrated on the first morning. There is no question of who Jesus is and what He is able to do.
There is a list of things Jesus did between Friday and Sunday morning. You probably heard them all at church between your Good Friday Service and Resurrection service. Let me boil them down to 3, which probably encompasses all of them.
Jesus conquered Satan
Jesus conquered Sin.
Jesus conquered Death.
Here is what I want to share with you.
Since Jesus has victory over all these, so do we.
I am not going to touch the 3rd one (Death); I will leave life and death to the Father. He decides then.
However, regarding the other two, we have something to say and do about it.
1- Satan is a conquered foe. Matt. 4 tells us how Jesus had victory over him in the wilderness. We must follow Jesus' pattern in what He did to cause Satan to leave. He used the Word of Life against him. We need to do the same if we want the same victory. State the word of God. Claim it for yourself. Obey what it tells us to do. Walk in that victory by faith.
2-Sin. That is an area where we may struggle, yet since Jesus had victory over it, guess what? We also can and must achieve victory over it.
Scripture commands us not to sin. There is a reason for that. Mainly it is because God is Holy and now because of what Jesus did on the cross, we too are holy. Plus we are witnesses to the world of God in our lives over sin. See, when our family and friends are controlled by sin, we show up in the newness of life and walk in victory over sin.
So, here is what I want you to take from this blog: Resurrection Power was not only for Easter morning, it is for everyday life.
Live it and you will enjoy life.
Blessings to you all.
