Good morning, church family.
We honor those who served in the armed forces this week-end. We remember their giving so we can have what we enjoy today.
My thought for you today is about ---who has been an influence for the good and for God through your life. To be able to say I have added some value to another's life is a great accomplishment.
We are to influence others for good and for what is eternal. So, with that in mind, who will be in heaven because of you?
Now we know that Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven, through faith, grace, and the shedding of His blood. We who are saved under that truth. But God uses us to lead others to the door of Jesus Christ.
Matt. 4:19-20 tells us to be fishers of men. We are instrumental in leading others to the cross.
Is there a name you can mention now of someone with whom you've shared your faith and who has accepted Jesus? It is really that simple. We are either sharing the salvation message or we are not.
We know the cure for sin; it is Jesus. Yet, if we do not share that truth, people will die and miss heaven, maybe because they lacked hearing the gospel—the GOOD NEWS.
I want someone someday to say of me, "Because he shared the gospel with me, I am saved."
Rescuing someone from the fires of hell—eternal destruction—and leading them to Christ will be the greatest gift you can ever give another.
So, this week-end, you may be with friends and family who do not know Christ. Speak up, share the message of God's love, and who knows—maybe they will be in heaven because of you!!!
Have a safe Memorial Day holiday, and see you in church tomorrow first.
