Good Saturday morning to all.

Eph. 4:32 tells us: "Be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other just as Christ forgave us."

There is a lot packed into the little verse. Forgiveness isn't a word you can casually throw around, trying to make others feel good. That's not real forgiveness.

Let me share a few truths about this "FORGIVENESS".

1- Forgiveness is remembering how much you have been forgiven.

This must be the starting point for genuine forgiveness to take place. If you don't feel forgiven, you probably won't forgive others. If you are hard on yourself, you may be hard on others. The more God's forgiveness you receive, the more forgiving you'll be towards others.

2. Forgiveness is releasing your right to get even.

"Never avenge yourself, leave that to God."

Just ask yourself---who do you think can getting justice---you or God? End of story!

3. Forgiving is responding to evil with good.

Luke tells us, "Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you..."

You will only forgive when you allow the love of God to help you do what Jesus did on the cross.

4. Forgiveness is repeating the process as long as necessary.

That's a TOUGH one. Yes, it is. Not 7 times? NO!!! But 70 X 7!!!

So, learn to forgive until the pain stops and the desire to get even goes away. It may take a while but you can do it.

Now, go out there and be "Christlike".

Much love,
