Great Saturday morning to you all.
I want to say hello to all my family in Texas, N.Carolina, Florida and David in Tennesee. I am sure I missed a few others.
Let me ask you this question, What is good in your life? That is not a "gotcha" question.
Because whatever is good in your life comes from God.
James tells us: "Every good thing comes from above." God gives us every good thing we hold.
Take time today to read the story in Luke 12 about the very successful rich man. Yet, he gives no credit to God and his goodness. The story tells us that he died that night.
It is foolish to store up riches here on earth, yet have a poor relationship with the one who controls life.
Here is a thought to hold on to: a PRIDEFUL attitude is a sin. In fact, that was the sin that cast Satan out of heaven. When we stop being grateful to God, we start getting into trouble with God.
The problem with "self-made" people is that they end up worshipping themselves. That is a deep delusion. Yea, but I built my house, I work hard, look at my hand, I did this and that, I thought up the business plan. I I I I.
Read this verse in 1 Corinthians carefully. 4:7: "What do you have that God (not you or me) hasn't given you? Ok, I am waiting for your answer. I don't have an answer that is truthful.
From your physical to your spiritual life—all you and I have comes from the goodness of our Father in heaven. Why not stop for a moment and give Him a shout of praise? You know you should. I'll wait before finishing this blog.
Well, I think this is a good place to end. As you wake every morning or go to bed every night, whisper a thank you, Father, for all your goodness to me.
Much love,
Pastor G
