Good Saturday morning to all of the HCF family

When you ask God for something, do you really believe He will answer?

I believe some just ask for the sake of it. 

Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

What God has promised, He is GOOD for it. Because He is God. He cannot lie. God's promises are sure. If fact, as you read His promises in the Word, you might as well say, "Thank you, Lord, I receive what you have promises. Many things that God has promised, and you and I have not received them yet is because we just do  not believe. Oh we don't say that because what would others say of us? But that's the truth. So, what are we to  do?

Well, the first thing is to be honest with yourself---Do you believe God can and will do what He has promised? Secondly, is it His will? If you know it is not His will, STOP! God will not do what He knows is not good for you or me. Yea, but I desire it. Well, check again and ask God, "Let my desire be Your desire. Plus, that is pretty smart--we don't always think before we ask.

Will it bring Him glory, or is it all about you or me? That's an honest question. 

God does want to answer our prayers. Now, when you realize that what you have asked for is His will, then ask for it, believing that our God is able and will do what He has promised. It may be a quick answer or take a little time; regardless, stand firm, believing that God will answer, and be thankful. Lord, I thank you for your answer to my prayer. It will bring you glory and bring me joy. I wait for you to deliver it. I stand strong in faith and your promise.
