Good Saturday morning,
One of the greatest desires we should have is to grow into a mature believer. In doing so we bring glory to God and we become a testimony of who God is to others.
There are many ways to accomplish this, so let me share one of them.
John 15:8 says, "When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father."
Here is my challenge to each of us this morning.
Look at the gift that God has given you. You may be using it, but if it is not with the right motive, you have missed the ultimate purpose of your gift.
When you use your gift, use it in an act of worship. God is pleased when the gift He gave you is used back as worship unto Him.
In the movie--"Chariots of Fire" Olympic runner Eric Liddell said, "When I run, I feel God's presence." God gave him a gift and he used it to worship God.
What is your gift? When you use it, is it just out of obligation or do you say, Thank you father, I use your gift to me, to worship you.
Do you teach, sing, dance, run, play an instrument, greeter, usher, drive the van, swim, evangelize, you fill in the blank ___________.
As you use that gift as a tool of worship, you'll glorify God and joy will ring in your heart.
If you have never felt that thrill, now is the time.
Here is a start--- "Father, I thank you for your gift to me, as I use it, be glorified, and allow it to touch the hearts of others."
Scripture tells us, "All that you do or say, do for the glory of God."
