Good Saturday Morning Church Family

If you could have anything in the world, what would it be? Be careful but honest. Know this, that your answer reveals a lot about who you are and what you value.

Ps. 37:4 says "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

Now, there is nothing wrong with desires. Many of them motivate us to achieve great and important things. But, not all of our desires come from God. So, be careful!!!

Think about your desires and what they say about you. That's important, because of who and whose you are.

So, your desires bring you more of the light? Do they elevate you higher than you probably should want? Do you dream about money, power, position, with a motive that may be unhealthy? I am asking you to be honest with the motive behind the desire. I am not condemning desire or want.

Let's look at the other possible side of this:

Are you afraid to ask God for what you want? Maybe you think He will not answer you as you wish. Heb. 4:16, tells us to "Approach His throne with boldness and confidence."

I have asked God to give us a church as a witness in every continent of the world. We have 5 out of 7 so far, and believe God for the other 2.

Think about this---do your desires have anything to do with God and His kingdom? Do they have anything to do with blessing others? Do they have anything to do with drawing closer to Him? I give all of us time to think about this and give you a scripture to meditate on---

Matt. 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God, then all these things will be added unto you."

Much love,

Pastor G

For tomorrow, read Daniel 3 as we conclude "Principles of a DYNAMIC DISCIPLE".
