Great Saturday morning to you all.
Ever been overwhelmed? Absolutely!!!
I am answering for myself. Even this week. I was going through something that I could not get my hands around. I am usually a person who could figure things out, but this one thing kept me at bay. I was frustrated, a little angry, a lot angry and could not get through it.
I was reading in II Chronicles 20:20, "Put your trust in the Lord your God, and stand your ground..."
I realize as I have told many of you this same thing---when we focus on our problems instead of trusting God, we end up frustrated and in fear. That's not a good thing.
God didn't design us to fight our battles alone but rather allow Him to go before us. We don't have the power to confront every situation that comes towards us. So, what do we do?
Well a few ideas come up:
1- Ignore it
2- Do the best you can, and hope for the best.
3- Do your part and trust God to do His.
Personally I did the first two, because that's my nature.
Neither one worked out very well.
Finally, I ask God to help me and give me a clue and I let it go for a short period of time.
And as usual God came through. I thank Him for His faithfulness.
I realize I am being very private about my personal issue and it will stay that way.
But I will tell you---God did come through.
My challenge and encouragement to you is---Put your trust in God and keep it there, regardless of what you are going through. He is faithful.
