Good Saturday morning family,
"People who walk in "integrity" keep their word, and do what they said they will do."
That's a pretty strong statement to make. Yet, that should and must describe every believer.
Integrity demands that every area of your life be treated with the same intensity.
Meaning, you have the same commitment to your marriage as you do to your career, to your ministry as to your parenting.
Let me point out a few everyday opportunities that we have to walk in integrity;
1- Keeping your promises
People of integrity keep their word. Prov. 25:14 says---People who promise things that they never fulfill, are like clouds and wind that bring no rain.
2- Paying your bills
You may think that's not a big deal, but it is. Integrity says, I do not spend more than what I can afford to pay for. Ps. 37:21---The wicked borrow and never pay back.
3- Refuse to GOSSIP
Are you one who can keep a secret or is it on facebook already? If you are a gossipper you will never have 2 things: 1-Good friends for long 2-integrity.
Prov. 11:13 says, A gossip can't be trusted with a secret, but someone of integrity won't violate a confidence.
4- Doing your best at work
As a believer you "work for God". So, whatever others see, so does God.
Col. 3:23 says to us---Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
ONE MORE:
5- Faithful Tithing
Whenever you put your money first is what's most important to you.
Mal. 3:8 and 10 is very clear. God wants to be first and foremost in your life, because He is the source of your life. When money trumps God, you will have problems.
God tells us to test Him in this area. Have you.
If yes, continue in this manner. If not, test Him and trust Him with your finances.
So, here is my challenge to you. Examine those 5 areas---how are you doing? Be honest. People of integrity are honest. If you need to make changes, do so. You will not regret it and above all, you will be pleasing to the Lord.
