Good morning Married Couples,
I want to continue in our thoughts from last week, on keeping your marriage going in the right direction. Go back and review last week's thoughts.
#4- Set a schedule.
Life has a way of draining time from us. It becomes very challenging for busy couples, especially if children are still living at home to find time to be together. Don't ever neglect your time together.
Make time for each other even when the kids come along. Do you have a routine when you spend it together, or do you just say when we have time?
#5- Interruptions?
Interruptions will get in the way if you let them. So don't!!!
Others will not work at building your marriage like you will. So, put a big limit on who you will allow to interrupt your time with your spouse. The answer to that statement would be few if any.
#6- Be active in the church.
You can't leave the things of God out of your life. Sundays just are not enough. Get involved as a couple if possible. You need a community to grow spiritually, and help grow socially. Who do you talk to when there is an issue in your life that there is no agreement with at home. Don't go to the world! Find it in the house of God, with the people of God.
#7- Communicate a Lot.
Give each other room to share their feelings without fear of talking. You do want to know what is on their mind. So, learn to talk and to listen.
