Good Morning Married Couples,
I want to continue with our Mentoring series. I trust you are seeing the benefits of having and even being a mentor in the life of another couple.
We have looked at 4 benefits for this support team. Go back the last 2 week and read them over again as we look at---
#5- Mentors will mourn for You and with You.
It is great to have people celebrate with you when something great happens in your lives. It is just as important to have someone with you when a difficult time occurs. That's when a mentor is so valuable to have.
Marriages will have their ups and downs. Romans 12:15a--says, we are to weep with those who weep.
And who better to share your burdens than with someone who is sharing your life with you and your spouse. Regardless of the situation it is great to have others around you during those difficult times.
#6- Mentors will pray for you and with you.
Mentors are designed to cover you and your spouse with prayer. There are a lot of challenging situations in life, you don't want to make the wrong ones. As one prays, wisdom is given to the one in need of prayer. Please do not take this lightly. I have been secured many times due to the prayers of couples who have mentored me, before I was married and also after I was married. I thank God for them.
Read and reread 1 Tim. 2:1
Next week will be our last in this series. Till then Think about ---do I need a mentor in my life?
