Good Saturday morning family

11 days left!!!!

Such an exciting time of the year. And yet many Christians that I am in contact with HATE this holiday. Yes, you read right---HATE this time of the year and cannot wait for it to be over. That is so sad.

Yes, I understand that the commercialization of it is almost intolerable. I get it!!!

But for those of you who see it only that way, I ask you to see the good opportunity in it.

Let me share a few thoughts on that.

*A time of regrouping with family."

I realize some families are at ODDS with each other. Well, maybe this is the time to reconcile with them. It may be difficult, but it is doable. Make that phone call, that visit, give that invite.

Well, pastor they would probably say no, maybe so, but what if they said YES! You take the high road. You just don't know what God can do, you do your part.

*A time of Personal Reflections."

During this time of the year we often are around many people full of excitement, a lot of noise and much business all around us. Take some time off and get alone with God and reflect on your personal relationship with Him. Maybe there are things you need to confess to Him,or maybe some fears you are experiencing even now. Could there be a desire you want Him to fill? Maybe you could make this time of reflection and communion something you do regularly moving forward.

*A time of revealing the Biblical Truth of this season."

Instead of complaining how commercialized we have made this season, why not "YOU" take a little time on Christmas day to tell the story of Jesus's holy birth and the reason why He came to earth. You would be planting a seed in the heart of those there. Don't worry if they recieve it or not the SEED is mighty and when spoken it will do what seeds do ---GROW and bear fruit.

Enjoy this Christmas celebration. It will give you new life and excitement knowing you have been able to promote the truth about Christmas and also enjoy the benefits of it.

Much love,

Pastor G

For tomorrow Read Prov. 22:6. (memorize it)
